Cookbook
Author Minjung Lee was born in Seoul, Korea where she learnt
the art and technique of Korean cooking.
In 2005, she published Feast of Flavours from the Korean Kitchen
which includes authentic and popular dishes such as Bul-Go-Gi
(Korean Beef Stir-Fry), Jab-Chae (Sweet Potato Noodles), Sam-Gye-Tang
(Chicken Ginseng Stew) and Kim-Chi (Seasoned & Fermented
Cabbage). The cookbook has most iconic Korean dishes and includes
step-by-step photos and instructions. (Published by Marshall
Cavendish Cuisine, available at all major bookstores, S$22.50)
Minjung's dishes are easy to replicate at home and reflect a
down-to-earth style. Her recipes were handed-down from her mother
and grandmother and are the dishes that she cooks for her own
family to this day. She currently lives in Singapore with her
husband and two young daughters where she teaches cooking.
