Chef Oscar Pasinato
was born in Cittadella, a small village an hour
away from Venice. He received his professional culinary
training at the Instituto Professionale Alberghiero di Castelfranco
Veneto, Italy. He then spent several years travelling and
working in London, Paris, New York, Puerto Rico, Tokyo,
Bangkok, then finally, Singapore.
Since
May 2000, Chef Oscar and his Singaporean wife, Tracy, own
and run Buko Nero, an Italian-Asian restaurant where the
freshest local ingredients are used combined with Italian
flair.
Chef
Oscar's approach to food can be described as "keeping
it as simple as possible", reflecting the influences
of the two most important women in his life: his mama and
his wife.
