Chef Yong entered the culinary industry at the age of 16 and since has diligently honed his skills over 24 years. This award-winning chef has worked in the most popular Chinese establishments in Singapore, such as, Jade at the Fullerton Hotel and Hai Tien Lo at The Pan Pacific Hotel.
As one of the fore-runners in the Chinese culinary scene, Chef Yong’s signature style is to serve classic Chinese dishes using traditional Chinese cooking techniques and recipes but presented with a modern Western approach. He sometimes includes luxurious Western ingredients such as, foie gras and truffles, but all with very thoughtful and deliberate application.
He is currently Executive Chef & Part-Owner of Majestic Restaurant, probably one of the hottest and most successful restaurants to enter the restaurant scene.
